Audio Spotlight Directional Sound Receives Extensive Response at AdWeek's TechX Event
The Holosonics team wishes to thank everyone who visited us at this year's Advertising Week TechX 2017 conference. Attendance at our booth during the event was robust, and our technology demo received an overwhelmingly positive reception. We appreciate your interest in our Audio Spotlight products, and look forward to working with you soon, to bring high quality directional sound to your projects.
Holosonics was invited by host companies VentureFuel and Experiential Advertising Group to bring its Audio Spotlight system to TechX as a "bleeding edge" advertising technology. Complementing thoughtful seminars, workshops, and discussion panels at Advertising Week, the TechX conference featured a hands-on journey through interactive installations, innovations, and tech advancements that include haptics, holograms, AI, VR, and AR, in addition to Holosonics' revolutionary Audio Spotlight sound beaming technology.
"We knew that Audio Spotlight would 'wow' advertisers and equip them with a powerful consumer engagement tool, for everything from retail displays and OOH signage to experiential stunts."
-Allie Feinstein, Director of Innovation and Brand Strategy, VentureFuel, Inc.
At the Holosonics booth, a single AS-24i speaker mounted below each of the digital displays beamed clear audio directly to the viewer in front of the screen, with no audio being projected elsewhere. Despite the two displays being separated by only a few feet, the sound beams did not cross at all, or bleed into the rest of the booth, or into adjacent booths. It was even difficult to hear much of either beam when standing between the two listening positions.
"Audio Spotlight is an unforgettable experience that enhances any event and speaks directly to each consumer. We knew advertisers would be very excited by the potential of this unique technology."
- Fred Schonenberg, Founder, VentureFuel, Inc.
We would be thrilled to see our Audio Spotlight products used in any of your upcoming projects where sound field control could be particularly helpful. We have assisted in many industries over the years, including museums, digital signage, trade shows and special events, outdoor advertising, retail displays, libraries, hospitals, and so much more.
AUDIO SPOTLIGHT IN ACTION
The Audio Spotlight system creates focused beams of sound by using a narrow beam of ultrasound as a "virtual" sound source. While ultrasound itself is outside the range of human hearing, this innovative technique causes the air itself to change the ultrasound's "shape" as it travels. This change leads to the creation of clear sound that can be directed to a precise location, with directivity and control far exceeding any traditional loudspeaker.
